A fixture at Contenders since 2007, Max is one of our most long-standing members and a cornerstone of our coaching team. Following in the footsteps of his brother, Seb, Max began his journey in the ring over 15 years ago, officially stepping into his role as a coach in 2015.

Max is a true student of the sport. Whether he’s leading a Boxing Fundamentals class or overseeing a high-energy Sparring session, he encourages every member to keep an open mind and embrace the “forever student” mentality. His dedication to mastering technique has made him a go-to resource for anyone looking to sharpen their skills and build real confidence on the bags.

When he isn’t at the gym, Max is a successful actor and cinematographer with a career that takes him from the ring to the screen. You may recognize him from his roles in major productions like The Last of Us (2023), The Vince Staples Show (2024), and Watson (2024). Just as he does in his acting, Max brings presence, focus, and a sharp eye for detail to every class he teaches.
